The Band

Deepika
Deepika discovered her love of singing at a young age after hearing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King and attempting to sing for the first time. This moment sparked a lifelong passion for vocal expression. Over time, her musical taste expanded from pop to hard rock and nu-metal, genres that remain personal favourites. However, her love for music knows no bounds, and she enjoys singing across a wide range of styles. This journey has now led her to the exciting world of Bybrook, where she brings her unique voice and eclectic influences to the stage.

Mike
Eclectic is the only word that sums up my love of music - growing up with Bowie and Cooper - Alice not Tommy although both were funny. I was the right age at the right time to fuly embrace Progressive Rock, Punk, Post Punk, Futurist and jazz rock playing bass or synths in these types of bands - change is a great thing. Then mix in a good dose of classical music especially Debussy, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, electronic music (all genres) and my mind is muddled and influenced enough to dabble with my own original compositions.

Marcus
Marcus is a saxophonist with a passion for blending genres and exploring musical boundaries. His inspiration comes from a wide range of influences, from the funky grooves of Jamiroquai and the energetic rock of Foo Fighters, to the comedic flair of Tenacious D. Whether channelling the intricate jazz of Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon or the rock and roll energy Johnny Be Goode, there’s usually a mix of creativity and a love for musical experimentation when he's performing.

Chris
Chris’s journey began with Jan Akermann and Brian May but soon lost Focus and needed to turn on a sixpence. He went into a dead end off the Crossroads Between Nothingness And Eternity with Eric Clapton and John McLaughlin - but reversed out just in time. Back on the right path he could only wave at EVH, Allan Holdsworth and Stevie Vai – impossibly far away in the distance. Passing by Jeff ‘Skunk’ Baxter and Larry Carlton he vowed not to be taken alive, never to go back to his old school and to have nothing to do with Showbiz Kids cos you know they…. He has had many Travels with Pat Metheny, been There and Back with Jeff Beck and Bopped Till He Dropped with Ry Cooder. All the while he has been trying to work out whether Robert Fripp is the Crimson King, a Hero or just a Schizoid Man. Chris likes to listen to Public Service Broadcasting, Donald Fagen, Thundercat, Alison Goldfrapp and the Portico Quartet (to name just a few.)

Steve
What else was a twenty something IT chap called Steve going to do in the eighties other than play synth pop? After starting on guitar he bought a music computer, a couple of samplers and a synth and joined a band. After many renditions of what turned out to be 80s classics later (and not so classics!), it was time to settle down to family life. Keeping up a musical interest at home, and trying his hand at composing, after 30+ years he decided it was time to see if any of the old magic still existed. After finding out it didn't, it was back to hard grind, music lessons and practice to get in shape to join a band.

Andy
Andy plays drums. He plays them very well.
